Since 2012, Simunye Civils has maintained a continuous working presence at the Engen Petroleum Refinery — delivering over 60 individual project packages on an active, ATEX-regulated site. This includes bund walls, tank foundations, pipeline excavations, roads, drainage systems, and building works, all executed while the refinery remains fully operational.

Capability & Mobilisation
Simunye Civils owns and maintains a broad fleet of construction plant and has established relationships with trusted plant-hire companies across KwaZulu-Natal. We mobilise quickly and maintain consistent production throughout the project lifecycle.
Our current plant capability includes TLBs, tipper trucks (10m³ and 6m³), 10-ton rollers, excavators of 5 tons and above, asphalt paving machines, and mobile cranes. Our management team is trained in Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and Modelmaker — ensuring projects are planned and tracked with professional precision.
